"A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves
- strong, powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence."
Pam Brown

Looking toward Spring
We are looking forward to an exciting spring and summer season. We have a poker ride planned, hosting an ACTHA American
Competitive Trail horse Association ride in August. We have a benefit concert, dinner and silent auction planned for
July 7. The guest will be announced soon, but i can tell you that she is amazing. Winner of many awards, WMA song
of the year, album of the year, Female vocalist of the year, the list goes on. It will be a concert to remember.
One that creates memories for your little ones. Due to a very generous offer of a friend of the sanctuary we will be
able to concentrate on beautification at the ranch this summer as many of our current herd will be deployed to the top of
a mountain for free grazing and relaxation this spring. They will still be very accessible and will still be working
and trail rides daily from the mountain. It is only a couple miles from us, vertically, lol....just kidding. We
will still have many of our veteran visitors and their families participating in activities at our ranch, but also spending
a little time up the mountain in the wide open spaces. We do need your help this summer, we need volunteers, we need
donations for purchase of fencing materials and shelters for the horses. I would llike to thank all of the members of
the AERC, American endurance ride conference for all of their support and donations this past year. We could not do
this without you. Thank you for all of your support. A special thank you to Naomi Preston as without all of the
time and effort that she has spent on helping with our program we would have never seen the donations and many donated items
that she has been able to raise. God Bless her. Thank you to each of our donors, this is hard sometimes, but saving
a life of a Veteran is worth every bit of blood and sweat that goes into this.
I am still riding for our
POW Bowe Bergdahl and his family. There has not been any news from his captures in some time. I pray daily for
his release. There are others that are riding as well, we also have a new supporter in Iraq that is running on foot
to log miles for Bowe. God bless him, he has run 95 miles so far. Bowe you are not forgotten, and neither is your
family.
Look forward to our announcement of our concert in July to be very soon. Follow us on Facebook
for updated information or check back here.

Tranquil Valley Sanctuary non-profit organization created to help those with
emotional problems who have not responded to traditional psycho-therapy modalities. We treat a wide variety of patients including adults and families. However, our primary focus is
on helping Veterans and their families. Veterans
are often difficult to reach as well as sometimes reluctant to seek traditional office-based psychotherapy. Tranquil
Valley Sanctuary uses the combination of licensed clinical psychologists and kind, gentle horses to reach these
troubled Veterans. Left unattended, traumas, caused by the effects of war, can lead to life long emotional problems
and often anti-social and even criminal behavior. Our Mission at Tranquil Valley Sanctuary is to help these Veterans
overcome their challenges, get their lives back on track, and become positive members of their families and our communities.
When we reach out to our Veterans,
we can make a real difference......
......if you are a health care professional, we
hope you will consider sending appropriate clients to Tranquil Valley Sanctuary ......if you are a parent or spouse who needs help, please get in touch with
us at 801-540-2724 ......if you are a caring member of our community, we hope you will make a contribution
of time or money. The number of Veterans we can help is only limited by your willingness to help us help them.

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with our programing.
If you have a desire to help us to help them, please call and make arrangements to come and see the farm. We are still
in the beginning stages of this venture and to keep going and become successful we need your help.
