/B926R2 < What we have planned!!!!!!! I am sorry that I have not had time to update this site
in a while. We have been busy, busy, busy....We have been getting underway with our summer programs. We have also
been planning for the open house and silent auction in August. We decided to combine the two, because we have just too
much going on and needed to spend more time on the farm and less time out trying to fundraise. We need money to help
the program continue, but it is more important that the program is working and helping our Veterans. To let you know what is going on in August. We are going to be riding from Malad City Idaho
to Hill Airforce base in Utah. We want people to try to grasp the amount of time it takes our Veterans to travel to
where they can get treatment for their invisible war wounds. It is not as easy for them as going down the street to
the clinic. They sometimes have to travel hours to and from a VA hospital. All to often they have family members
that have to take off work to transport them to and from appointments. Google our route and take a look. Ask how
far do Veterans in your community have to travel to reach a VA hospital or clinic? We are asking people to sponsor us
per mile that we ride, so far no donations, but we are faithful that there are those out there that want this program to keep
going and remain successful. I have faith that we are not alone in our quest. Please tell everyone you know about our
website and our goal to keep this program going. Great news, with a great
amount of gratitude and thanks beyond words, we want to take time to appreciate the Francom family of Malad Idaho. They
have donated almost 100 acres of grass that we have been cutting and baling for a couple of weeks now. This hay is going
to help us to offer more for our program. If we are not so worried about the next bale of hay for the horses, we can
concentrate on expanding the program to reach more Veterans. We are hoping to start a Womens Veterans program soon.
At least one day a week, it is a new goal that I am setting for myself. There is a need, we have a cause, and it is
a program that works. Please say a prayer for the Ray Francom family, this would have been a much differant year if
it where not for their kind donation. We expect to get about 2500 bales of hay from his land, this will leave us very
little to buy this year. We will leave for Hill Airforce base on 7 august
in the early morning. We plan to ride to Brigham City Utah that day where we will spend the night behind Hanson Chevrolet.
They have been a great sponsor. We will then leave early the next morning for Hill Airforce base Roy gate. We
plan to meet at the Hill Airforce Museum parking lot at 12noon on Saturday. We will then have everyone that has come
to meet us to follow us back up I-15 to our ranch for a benefit concert and meal. This is our official open house party.
Everyone is invited....We will be pit cooking two hogs, roasting hotdogs, hamburgers and corn on on the cob, beans and garlic
bread. This is going to be a great day. Western singer JC Needham is going to be performing a benefit concert
at about 4pm. He is great, you will love it. We have a young rising star that will be opening for him Ariel.
We will have more information on the concert soon. Flyers and invitations will be going out in the next couple of weeks.
We are also having a small silent auction as part of the dinner. If anyone has anything that would like to donate, please
contact me. We could use a few more items for people to bid on. We are planning on making this an annual event
at the ranch, a fun day for the entire family. Great food, good family fun, a great cause who could ask for more.
Let our Veterans know that you support them, come out and lets raise the roof. Come for food, come for the concert,
or just to socialize with some of the people that have given you the right to do so, just come out and say thank you to a
Veteran. If you are coming from out of town and need accomadations let us know we will make some suggestions, you can
always camp out under the stars on the ranch, or we have more luxurious ideas in mind. I will try not to be such
a stranger and will get this site updated a couple more times in the next couple of weeks. Thank you for following us

Well
we did ride 25 miles on the 18 april to support our troops and bring awareness to the suicide rate linked to Veterans from
Iraq and Afganistan. Then just to show how important this message is we did an additional 50 miles on Sunday the
19 April. We are gearing up for our ride from Malad City to Hill Air Force base. We still have to work out the
details, but keep this site bookmarked and check back. We will publish our route as soon as we get permission
from all the counties involved in our ride. We could finish in two days, but because we want to slow down for people
to join us enroute, we will allow three days to finish. If you want to sponsor us per mile or know someone that will
help us with this program, please email or contact us. This is a wonderful program but cannot work without assistance
from you. It does not take a lot from one person, but a little from many that care about our veterans and the problems
that they face after coming home. Please use our paypal link to contribute to our cause. The Veterans deserve
your support, and so do the horses that we rescue to help with this program. Ride
for Freedom We have a team that will be running in a 25 Mile Endurance
race at Antelope Island in Utah on the 18 April 2009. We are hoping to raise enough money to support the horses in our
program through the next 6 months. We need to raise approximately 4800.00 dollars to cover our hay bill for 6 months.
We also have expenses for grain, fuel, dewormer, vaccines, farrier care, dental work, medication. These horses give
all of their love to the people that they work with, the upkeep of their health is a meager fee if they help change the life
of one person, one family, or one child. We need your help to support us in this endeavor. The people that are
riding have all donated their time and energy to try to make this fundraiser successful. Their are only two of us that
will be competing and we will put our results on this site. Neither of us have ever ridden in an Endurance ride before,
but we need to make a statement about the needs of our Veterans. We also need to raise funds to keep this program going.
They have sacrificed for us, it is now time for us to sacrifice for them. It does not take a lot from any one person,
but it takes a lot of people willing to give just a little to make this work. We know times are tough, but if you can
give even just a little, it all adds up and will help us expand this program to reach more.

We do still welcome all donations to our cause at Tranquil Valley Sanctuary
1240 East hwy
36 Malad City, ID 83252
Thank you for choosing to support our cause. As little as
100 dollars can feed a horse for one month. As little as 6 dollars can buy one bale of hay that will last 1 horse 4
days. We appreciate all of our sponsors. It is only with the grace of God and people like yourself that we can
make this program a success. These people and horses need someone to care enough to help. At this time noone that
is involved in our program is paid. We all volunteer all of our time to help with day to day operations here.
We have goals for the future that would involve medical personel that would need to be paid, as well as certified Narha instructors
as the program grows. Hippotherapy requires physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists. These
are programs that we intend to offer in the future when the funding is there to support them.
