Tranquil Valley Sanctuary..Healing Horses, Heroes, and Homes

How can I help?

It is only through the generous donations from supporters like you that we can operate this program.  A simple donation of $100 will feed a horse for a month. A donation of $25.00 will cover expenses for 1 session for a Veteran.  100% of all donations to Tranquil Valley are used to maintain the Sanctuary for rescued horses and Healing Hearts.  We operate with an all volunteer staff.  Our tax ID number will be supplied with your donation confirmation.

Donation options include:

Just a little note as to where our donations go....

The costs associated with this program are sometimes a little amazing to the person that has never owned a horse.  The upkeep of one horse can be surprising.  However the work that they do to help people to overcome fears, learn to love again, find compassion, feel accepted, and feel true unconditional love are worth every penny.  Our four legged therapists need help with Medical expenses, ie Veterinarians, new shoes, manicures(trimming hooves), blankets for warmth, Good quality food, and well fitted clothing(ie saddles, bridles, halters)  To give an example of these costs:

One visit from the Vet to the farm is $100.00 just to come, then the cost for treatment is added to that.

When you work with rescued horses, they often need special medical care, medications, treatments, monitoring as they put weight back on, dentistry work, supplimental vitamins, you get the idea...

Individual support of Tranquil Valley through sponsorship provides the foundation upon which we operate. It is your steadfast assistance that makes us so effective in saving the lives of endangered horses while providing support to individuals with a range of physical, emotional, cognitive, and social special needs as well as our combat veterans that are so deserving of our services.

As little as $100 will feed our equine volunteers for a whole month.

Funding for the Tranquil Valley Sanctuary provides care for 25 rescued horses. The horses that are rescued have their own special needs. We give them the best care possible.

Basic Care - minimum costs to keep a horse:

  • hoof trim - $40/every six weeks
  • deworm - $8/every six weeks
  • vaccinations - Spring & Fall $150/ea.
  • food -(hay $100/mo., grain $50/mo. carrots $10/mo.)

We seek no payment from those that are in need of our services.  Because this program is completely run on the goodwill of those that assist we are always in need of volunteers and donations.

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with the following:

  • cleaning public areas & paddocks
  • grooming horses
  • assistants to help with group programs & classes

By becoming a volunteer, you receive the satisfaction of helping to provide these rescued horses with a safe and secure environment. Please help, become a volunteer today. Call us at 801-540-2724..

This may seem like alot, but when you think about the fact that a good psychiatrist charges at least $75.00 an hour, is it really?

Thank you for helping us to help them.....
